BS Standard tested and certified for fire safety and soot behaviour

Always follow our Candle safety instructions:

1. Always trim the wick before every burn to approx. 3-4mm before burning and always place on a mat to protect your surface.

2. Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts, or fans, which can cause sooting (black marks on the vessel), or rapid, uneven burning.

3. Burn until pooled to the edges of glass, approx. 1hr for every inch wide the candle is. Ideally never burn for longer than 4 hours although this may be necessary on first burn for larger candles. Burning for less time can cause the candle to 'tunnel', which leaves a build-up of wax around the vessel's sides. Burning for longer periods (over four hours) can cause the wick to move, or slant.

4. Make sure you stop burning your candle when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom, keeping an eye on a burning candle when the wax is low.

  • Soy Tealights

Using Romans soy tealights with our wax melts is important to insure a safe non toxic burn and to optimise the fragrance release for the longest duration possible. This is due to soy wax naturally burning cooler than paraffin wax so it doesn’t damage the scent and release it too quickly.

They are also the safer option as unlike Paraffin they do not give off soot that builds up on the inside of your melt burner that could potentially catch fire.

This means you can sit back and relax and enjoy your scents and enjoy the beautiful warm glow also.

To maximise your scent experience It is recommended that your burner measures between 9-11cm tall from the base to the underside of the wax well.

NEVER USE SCENTED TEALIGHTS IN AN OIL BURNER
