Soy Wax

Why do Romans use Soy Wax?

At Romans Fragrances, we take pride in crafting high-quality wax melts and candles that not only enhance your space but also align with environmentally friendly values. That’s why we choose soy wax as the foundation of our products.

Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource derived from soybeans, making it a sustainable and eco-conscious alternative to traditional paraffin wax. Unlike paraffin, which is petroleum-based, soy wax is biodegradable, contributing to reduced environmental impact. It also supports local farmers and promotes sustainable farming practices, furthering our commitment to a greener planet.

In addition to its eco-friendly benefits, soy wax delivers exceptional performance. It burns cleaner, producing significantly less soot and toxins, which helps maintain better air quality in your home. Its lower melting point ensures a longer burn time, allowing you to enjoy our luxurious scents for hours. Moreover, soy wax holds fragrance more effectively, creating a richer and more consistent scent throw for a superior sensory experience.

By using soy wax, we ensure that every Romans Fragrances product combines sustainability, quality, and indulgence, so you can feel good about enjoying beautiful fragrances in your home.

Always follow our Candle safety instructions:

    1. Always trim the wick before every burn to approx. 3-4mm before burning and always place on a mat to protect your surface.

    2. Light your candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts, or fans, which can cause sooting (black marks on the vessel), or rapid, uneven burning.

    3. Burn until pooled to the edges of glass, approx. 1hr for every inch wide the candle is. Ideally never burn for longer than 4 hours although this may be necessary on first burn for larger candles. Burning for less time can cause the candle to 'tunnel', which leaves a build-up of wax around the vessel's sides. Burning for longer periods (over four hours) can cause the wick to move, or slant.

    4. Make sure you stop burning your candle when 10mm of wax remains at the bottom, keeping an eye on a burning candle when the wax is low.
